Soulkast, a local music band in Traverse City Michigan, started on the iZigg platform and in just a few weeks received hundreds of opt-ins from fans.
They used Facebook to let their fan base know to opt-in to “soulkast” at 90210, and created a few banners they use on stage. Dave Crater, one of the band members says “we like the iZigg mobile media platform because it is easy to manage and understand, and we can set up different groups in our back office so we can build lists that are specific to gigs, cities, or events and not just one big list. It makes it simple to communicate with our fan base and we just flat out love it!”
“We performed a few parties in the last week and before the week started we had already scheduled text blasts to be delivered to our opted in list and as the week progressed and we got closer to the events, our system was automatically sending messages to our fans to remind them of our shows. The fans love it because they get the information they want right to their phone, we love it cause we can reach our entire fan base with 1 click of a button, and the venues love it, cause we are having more people out to our shows. Everyone truly wins with iZigg and mobile media” says Dave.
Mahlchers, a San Diego Based Action Sports company wanted to test the power of mobile media and the iZigg platform. They implemented the program at 3 different events; a skate event, a surf competition, and a Marine Corp 10K run.
Eric Sorensen, Mahlchers CEO and Founder, and active youth coach, knew immediately that a text message platform was the best way to stay in touch with his fans, customers and athletes. “I know how they like to communicate, and being able to stay in touch with them in that way is everything in growing my brand”, says Eric.
Eric and his brand Mahlchers received hundreds of opt-ins at each of the events, and even had 42% of the audience at one of the events opt-in for a chance to win skate decks, headphones, tee shirts, and other prizes. ”The interesting thing about our experience is that people from all ages were having fun texting in for a chance to win. It wasn’t just the younger kids, it was easy for everyone to join in and have fun.”
